1. What we collect

When you sign up for Perch we collect:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo provided by Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Calendar data — events, schedules, and family member details you create within Perch.
  • Device information — device tokens for push notifications, and basic diagnostics (app version, OS version).

2. How we use your data

  • To provide and operate the Perch family calendar service.
  • To send push notifications about calendar events you or your family have configured.
  • To improve the app through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Google user data

When you sign in with Google, we access your basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) to create your Perch account. We do not access your Google Calendar, Gmail, or any other Google services beyond authentication.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens on iOS devices are stored in the system Keychain.

5. Data sharing

Calendar data is shared only with members of your family group within Perch. We use the following third-party services to operate Perch:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and real-time sync.
  • Cloudflare — API hosting and content delivery.
  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — push notifications.

6. Your rights

You can request to view, export, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes all your data from our systems.

7. Children's privacy

Perch is designed for families. Children's calendar entries are managed by parent accounts. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
